Blue Distinction Centers for Cardiac Care demonstrate their commitment to quality care, resulting in better overall outcomes for cardiac patients. SMMC met evidence-based clinical criteria, developed in collaboration with expert physicians’ and medical organizations, and is subject to periodic re-evaluation as criteria continue to evolve. The Shawnee Mission Heart & Vascular Center brings technology, medical expertise and compassion together, giving area residents a place to turn for exceptional heart care. SMMC is home to Kansas City’s first accredited Chest Pain Center, and the Shawnee Mission Heart & Vascular Center offers comprehensive cardiac care services, including cardiac rehabilitation, catheterization and surgery.
