Pet Visitation Program
At Shawnee Mission Medical Center we understand creating a healing environment sometimes includes visits from our four legged friends. Three times a week our volunteers work with MOKAN Pet Partners to provide this special visitation to our patients. Volunteers and an escort handler take dogs to assigned floors where they met with designated patients for a few moments. These canine companions offer love and support in their own special way.
