Neurological Rehabilitation
This specialized rehabilitation service is for children and adults with neurological dysfunction caused by stroke, acquired brain injury, cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, Guillain-Barré and a variety of other disorders. The neuro team includes experienced physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists who provide evaluation and treatment in the following areas:
- Neurodevelopmental treatment
- Mobility
- Transfers
- Balance
- Muscle re-education
- Coordination/motor control
- Exercise prescription
- Activities of daily living
- Visual and perceptual motor skills
- Cognition
- Memory/thought processing
- Speech and language
- Augmentative communication
- Swallowing
- Pediatrics and developmental delay
- Home safety and environmental modification
- Equipment prescription and orthotic recommendations
- Family education/training
