The Center for Surgical Services at SMMC is a regional leader in the advancement and application of surgical technology including lasers, surgical robotics and minimally invasive surgery. The Center includes inpatient and outpatient services and features dedicated surgical suites for open heart, orthopedic, urology, ophthalmology and laparoscopic surgery. The Shull Center for Surgical Robotics is home of the Kansas City area's first da Vinci Surgical System.

SMMC offers Skylight ACCESS®, a patient interactive television system (if you stay overnight) that enables patients to watch movies, view and engage in on-demand educational and relaxation videos, complete surveys, view the Internet, play games and get a variety of hospital information all with the click of a remote.
