MERRIAM, Kan. – Shawnee Mission Urgent Care will close its Oak Park Mall location beginning Monday, January 17 and move one mile north to a new, expanded clinic at 9040 Quivira Road in Lenexa. Urgent Care will be closed Monday, January 17 and Tuesday, January 18 in preparation for this move. The clinic will reopen at its new location near I-35 and Quivira on Wednesday, January 19 at 9 a.m.
Shawnee Mission Urgent Care is well known in Johnson County for providing families with quality, immediate care when their regular physician is unavailable. Shared with CorporateCare Lenexa, Shawnee Mission Medical Center’s (SMMC) occupational health network, this convenient location will make it easier for individuals to receive necessary treatment quickly and then get back to their day. Urgent Care will also extend its hours, providing care every day from 9 a.m.-8 p.m., closing only Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
“Although we are closing our Oak Park Mall location, we are certain this move will allow our Board-certified physicians and staff to continue to provide the same quality care Johnson County residents have come to trust in an updated, more efficient clinic,” said Scott Woods, Director of Shawnee Mission Urgent Care.
