Santé Image Renewal Boutique & Salon Opens at Shawnee Mission Medical Center

Santé is managed by Diane Bender, a 16-year breast cancer survivor. Bender has more than 15 years of experience working with cancer patients and is a licensed cosmetologist with advanced certification in dermatological skincare and menopausal/hormonal dysfunctions.

“Experiencing an illness or event that alters appearance can be emotionally devastating and can affect an individual’s self-image,” said Bender.  “At Santé we try to ease the distress by providing individualized esthetic services that can improve or enhance an individual’s self esteem, helping her focus on healing.”

Marci Klein is the Santé Certified Mastectomy Specialist and has been a trained breast prostheses and mastectomy bra fitter since 1987. Klein became BOC certified in Orthotics and Mastectomy in 1996.
Santé, which is owned and operated by SMMC, was made possible through fundraising efforts from the hospital’s Speaking of Women’s Health program.
