The Legacy of Healing Society honors friends of The Foundation for Shawnee Mission Medical Center who have remembered the Foundation in their estate planning. These benefactors have made a special commitment to the healing mission of the Medical Center through their perpetual gifts, which touch present and future generations of the community.
Planned gifts to The Foundation for Shawnee Mission Medical Center enable the Medical Center to provide the finest health care and to continue a rich tradition of community outreach. Gifts may be directed to specific areas such as the Lee Ann Britain Infant Development Center, Shawnee Mission Regional Cardiovascular Center, the Center for Women's Health or another program of interest at the Medical Center. Planned gifts may also be designated as unrestricted, so that they may be applied toward the greatest need. All of these programs support a philosophy of care to the community which extends far beyond hospital walls.
