Quality Medical Information for Effective Patient Care in Eastern Kansas and Western Missouri
Founded in 1978, the Shawnee Mission Health Medical Library represents a contemporary marriage of modern medicine with today’s information gathering technologies in a focus on effective patient care.
The Medical Library primarily services the Medical Staff, the Nursing Staff and the Administrative Staff of Shawnee Mission Health. It is also available to medical personnel throughout the United States and other countries through our OCLC and DOCLINE connections. While circulation privileges are limited to the SMH health care community, the public is welcome to utilize the in-house services of the Medical Library.
In addition to almost 10,000 books on medical and related topics, the library maintains subscriptions to over 3,900 journals.
