2015 Nursing Year in Review
– it is the mental process that creates a spark encouraging us to imagine, act and innovate. This past year at Shawnee Mission Health (SMH), we have seen countless examples of ways our nurses have been inspired to push forward, constantly improving our practices. From more effective identification and treatment of severe sepsis cases to enhanced fall prevention and incorporation of Care Out Loud Always (COLA) into their daily routine, SHM nurses are making a difference in the lives of patients.
This report provides an inside look into some of the successful outcomes SMH has enjoyed as a result of our team’s ongoing inspiration, and details how SMH nursing reflects the best evidence in nursing practice.
