Home Health Care receives Second Award of Excellence

Home Health Care has been selected for the second year as one of the top agencies in the United States. The Award of Excellence was presented to the 2008 HomeCare Elite, the most successful home health care providers in the nation. The review names the Medicare-certified agencies whose performance measures in quality outcomes, quality improvement and financial performance are among the top 25 percent of providers.

Shawnee Mission Home Health Care (SMHHC) provides health care services to patients in their home environment. Our team helps patients and their caregivers with medical care and teaches them how to manage the patient's health in their home. By teaching them how to become more independent in caring for their medical needs, the patient can remain in their home and often prevent medical problems.

Kansas: Johnson, Wyandotte, and parts of Douglas, Franklin, Leavenworth and Miami.

Missouri: Jackson and parts of Cass, Clay and Platte

Patients who qualify for Medicare are covered 100 percent. Most commercial insurances also pay for home health at varying rates. Your insurance carrier should be able to give you more information.
