KNOWLEDGE IS POWER when it comes to DIABETES
The more you know about diabetes, the easier it is to manage. With the right information and a desire to take control, you can live a long and healthy life with diabetes.
Let our experienced certified diabetes educators provide you with the latest medical information. We will help you sort through the myths and provide you with accurate information you can trust.
Our diabetes education program has achieved certification by the American Diabetes Association, proving it is a program of excellence staffed by a team of experienced certified diabetes educators.
Our comprehensive education program consists of an introductory visit with the Diabetes Nurse Educator followed by three classes. Each class is two hours and is taught by one of our certified diabetes educators. We highly recommend our diabetes classes for individuals who are newly diagnosed or have not attended a class within the last five years.
Classes are available at the following times:
Tuesday evenings • 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Wednesday mornings • 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
New classes start every two to three weeks. Individual education is also available.
A free support group is also offered monthly. Click here for more information.
A physician referral is required for all services except the support group. Ask your physician to fax a referral to 913-789-3903.
