The PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program at Shawnee Mission Medical Center is designed to develop proficiency in a variety of clinically oriented patient care settings. Our mission is to integrate the pharmacy practice resident with a variety of disciplines within the patient care team. Upon completion of the residency, the candidate will have the skills and experience needed to perform at the highest level within the profession. The residency emphasizes independent thinking and application of clinical concepts in the development of progressive clinical services.

Application Form - Download the application form and complete each section. Once completed, e-mail it to the residency program director.
Curriculum Vitae - E-mail a curriculum vitae (Microsoft Word or PDF format) to the residency program director.
Letters of Recommendation - Three letters of recommendation are required. These may be sent via regular mail or as e-mail attachments (Microsoft Word or PDF format) directly from the author. Recommendations may be written on the ASHP residency applicant recommendation form.
Application Deadline - All application materials are due by January 1st.
Interview Dates - On-site interviews may be scheduled between January 25 and March 3. Note that Tuesdays and Thursdays are preferred interview days. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis to accommodate out-of-town candidates and to coordinate with other interviews in the Kansas City area.
