Let our experienced certified diabetes educators provide you with the latest medical information. We will help you sort through the myths and provide you with accurate information you can trust.
Our diabetes education program has achieved certification by the American Diabetes Association, proving it is a program of excellence staffed by a team of experienced certified diabetes educators.
Our comprehensive education program consists of an introductory visit with the Diabetes Nurse Educator followed by three classes. Each class is two hours and is taught by one of our certified diabetes educators. We highly recommend our diabetes classes for individuals who are newly diagnosed or have not attended a class within the last five years.
Classes are available at the following times:
Tuesday evenings • 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Wednesday mornings • 9:30-11:30 a.m.
New classes start every two to three weeks. Individual education is also available.
INSHAPE Weight Management University
If you are ready to lose weight and keep it off, INSHAPE can teach you permanent lifestyle changes that will help you reach – and maintain – your goal. Individual counseling at INSHAPE focuses on healthy eating, physical activity, behavior modification, stress management and achieving a positive attitude about food.
At the initial consultation, a registered dietitian will make an assessment to determine your individual needs, along with setting up a care plan that will help you modify your lifestyle to reach your desired weight.
Emphasis is placed on personalized care through weekly follow-up appointments for weight monitoring. These follow-up sessions are a key part of INSHAPE’s success as they teach techniques to manage difficult food situations that occur in every day life.
