The SMMC Transfer Center, staffed by registered nurses 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, is available to facilitate a smooth and organized transfer.

Benefits of calling the SMMC Transfer Center:

  • Assists with - identification of - or connecting with - an accepting physician
  • Facilitates communication between the sending and receiving facilitiesprairiestar
  • Expedites admission by starting the patient’s registration process prior to their arrival
  • Ensures key patient reports are sent to the referring physician to keep them updated on the status of their patient
