About Our Corporate Care Division

CorporateCare, a division of Shawnee Mission Medical Center, has been part of the Kansas City health care arena for more than 40 years. SMMC has the largest medical staff in the metro area with more than 700 physicians and 2,800 associates who offer quality care to 20,000 inpatients and 180,000 outpatients annually.

In 2002 and 2004 Shawnee Mission Medical Center was named one of the nation's “100 Top Hospitals.” In addition, SMMC was one of three organizations to earn the 2004 Kansas Award for Excellence, the state’s top quality award, for the quality of care provided to patients by the medical staff and associates. SMMC is the only hospital to win the award twice.
